By: Nick SmithThe Hockey Canada world tour is set to return to Calgary next month and there is still time to watch the team play in a major tournament.
The national men’s hockey team will host the Calgary Stampeders in the 2017 NHL Winter Classic on March 6, 2019 at Rexall Place.
Tickets for the tournament go on sale this Thursday, March 13, at 10 a.m. and go on general sale in early April.
Tickets will be $1,000, but can be purchased online through Ticketmaster.
The NHL will televise the tournament with an all-access pass for fans of the team on the team’s official website.
The Stamps are playing in the first of three editions of the 2017-18 season.
They play the Ottawa 67ers and Toronto Marlies on the road.
The NHL and Hockey Canada have not announced the host city, but have confirmed it will be in Calgary.
The 2018-19 season will be held at Rexal Place.
In a statement, Hockey Canada said: “We are excited to host the 2018-2019 Hockey World Championship, a tournament which is sure to be a great showcase for our game.
We are looking forward to having the Stamps on our side and to playing our way to the finals.”
