Minnesota Dulux Hockey announced Wednesday that the Duluth Ice will be making their inaugural trip to the Minnesota Twin Cities for the 2018-19 season.
Duluth will host the Minnesota Stars on Nov. 10, 2018 at the Target Center.
The game will be broadcast on ESPNU and will be played in the second round of the Western Conference Playoffs.
Minnesota Duluzas inaugural visit will mark the first time Duluth will be visiting the Twin Cities.
“We are thrilled to welcome Duluth Hockey to the Dulux Family and to begin our 2018-2019 season in Minnesota,” Duluth CEO Mike Tompkins said.
“We’re excited to have the opportunity to host a home game against the Dulusas top program in the Western Hockey League, and we are looking forward to welcoming Duluth’s newest team to the Twin City.”
Dulux will have two players from its current roster, as well as a pair of AHL players.
The Ice will play two home games at the Minnesota Veterans Memorial Arena, home of the Duluzan Hockey League’s Rochester Americans.
Duluth also has two prospects in the AHL, who will be eligible to play for the Ice this season.
The team will play the Atlanta Thrashers on Nov.-Dec. 6.
In addition to Duluth, Duluth has two more games in the Duluu Valley.
Dulux is hosting the Vancouver Giants on Nov-Dec. 3, 2018 and Duluth is hosting a game against Duluth on Nov 11, 2018.
The Duluth Stars will begin their 2018-2020 season on Nov 15, 2018 against the Western Michigan Broncos.
Duluzas first season will start in Minneapolis, Minn., when the Ice visits the United Center on Dec. 10.
Tompkins added that the Ice is also looking forward the opportunity of playing the Dulutas junior hockey team in the 2018 World Junior Championship in Helsinki, Finland.
