NCAA president Mark Emmert has announced that the Division I men’s hockey championship will be played on March 18 in Omaha, Nebraska, where the NCAA has played since 1883.
The conference announced that it has partnered with the Omaha Civic Center to host the championship, which will be televised on ESPN.
The final tournament of the regular season will be March 17-19 at the Wells Fargo Center in Fargo, North Dakota.
In the men’s NCAA tournament, eight teams from each conference advance to the title game.
The NCAA has hosted the championship four times in Omaha since 1882, the last of which was in 1980.
The championship has also been held in Omaha in the past.
The NCAA tournament begins on March 17 in Omaha.
The final tournament will be on March 19 at the Fargo Center.
The NCAA and ESPN announced the partnership on Tuesday.
The NCAA is currently in talks with the city of Omaha and the City of Fargo to host their championship.
Omaha will host the NCAA men’s championship in 2019.
In a press release, Emmerts said, “We are thrilled to bring the college men’s basketball championship to Omaha, a place of incredible pride and history, which is an ideal venue for our next championship.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN and will feature a unique and special national television audience for the first time.
Omaha has a rich history of hosting NCAA championship games, and the game will mark an important step toward the NCAA’s vision of the future.”
The Omaha Civic Centre, which houses the NCAA women’s and men’s championships, is also partnering with the NCAA to host a new outdoor ice rink in 2019 to accommodate the new outdoor game.
“The Fargo Civic Centre is thrilled to host our first NCAA championship game in 2021,” said Dave Anderson, president and CEO of the Fargo Civic Center.
“We’re honored to partner with the University of Nebraska-Omaha, the City and State of Nebraska, and our neighbors, Omaha and Omaha-Council Bluffs, to bring this historic event to the community and create a special place for all to enjoy.”
I’ve heard it said that the NCAA is the most influential in the world.
It was a privilege to be a part of this great event, said Mark Emmett, NCAA president.
I’ve been on a journey to create the next generation of athletes.
Emmerts announced that he would host the first NCAA mens championship in 2021.
He added that the league will expand its tournament to eight teams, a first for the men, and will have two additional games scheduled to be played in 2020.
“This will be the biggest event of the season, and we are confident we will be able to deliver a championship of great magnitude to Omaha,” Emmertic said.
“The fans and community of Omaha will be at the forefront of our vision of a new era of sports and entertainment.”
“We are excited to be able host the next NCAA championship in Omaha and look forward to hosting the 2019 men’s and women’s championships in 2019,” said Jim Rindfleisch, president of the Nebraska-Prairie View A&M University Association.
“A national championship in the state of Nebraska and our fans will be in awe of the tremendous work being done by the Nebraska men’s team and the Omaha civic and athletic community.”
Emmett also announced that a new men’s ice rink would be constructed at the Omaha Arena.
The new ice rink will feature an outdoor playing surface and will serve as a training facility for all the men who participate in the tournament.
I can’t wait to see the game, said Kyle Wiens, who will play for the Omaha Crusaders.
It’s a dream come true, said Wiens.
I’m really excited about it.
This is what we’ve been waiting for.
I think it’s going to be the most fun thing I’ve ever been a part in.
The ice rink is going to make this tournament even better.
You don’t want to miss out, said John J. Oden, a player on the Omaha team.
I have a lot of confidence in our players and their skill.
The coaches and my family have been there for me since I’ve come to the arena.
We’ve been together for so long.
I can’t imagine not being able to play.
We’ll have a great group of people cheering for us and having fun.
It’s going be the coolest thing we’ve ever played.
For the fans, the players, and everyone who is going in, it’s a really special experience.
It feels good to get back to work and go to work every day and be a professional.”
