A giant hockey ball dropped onto the Australian state of Victoria’s flag this morning.
The ball was dropped in front of the state’s parliament building at Parliament House on Parliament Street, after the game between the Los Angeles Kings and the Anaheim Ducks.
The game ended in a 3-2 victory for the Ducks, who had lost 2-1 to the Kings in overtime.
A giant hockey banner was erected at the venue to commemorate the occasion, and was taken down by staff before the game started.
