NHL players will be in town for the Dallas Stars-Minnesota Wild game tonight.
The Stars will have the chance to make history on Saturday when they take on the Ottawa Senators at the American Airlines Center.
But if you want to see how this weekend’s hockey season is going, the Stars are making a special trip to the Big Apple.
Here’s a look at what’s on tap and where to find them.
Friday, December 1: Dallas Stars at Minnesota Wild (7:00 p.m.
ET; NBCSN, CBC, NHL.TV)Dallas Stars coach Lindy Ruff said he will be coaching his team to a 6-1 win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday.
“We have a chance to be in the top six in the Central Division,” Ruff said on Friday.
“It’s a big win for us, and it’s something we can build off.”
Saturday, December 2: Minnesota Wild at Dallas Stars (7 p.s.m., ESPNU)The Stars are still missing four players for a game on Saturday, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be taking advantage of the weather on Saturday night.
Dallas Stars head coach Lindie Ruff said Friday that he will bring in an extra goaltender for the game Saturday night against the Minnesota Twins.
Ruff said his goal was to get the game “down to a good game,” which he hopes will help keep the Stars out of the playoff race.
“I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself,” Ruff told the media on Friday, when asked about the extra goalie.
“I’m going to go in there with the mindset that we’re going to be ready.
We’ve got to win that game, and we’re not going to do it without one of our guys.”
The Stars have been playing a lot of games in Dallas during the off-season, and the weather isn’t expected to play a role in the game.
Ruff did say that he hopes the game is going well, and that the Stars have the players they need to win the game for a chance at a playoff spot.
“It’s not a big deal to us.
We’re going into it expecting to win,” Ruff added.
“
If you’re going in with the same mentality and the same mindset, and you’re winning games, then it’s going to work out.”
